When you use services from Global Location Technologies, LLC, a South Carolina company and a wholly owned subsidiary of Strata Platforms, Inc. with Services private labeled as “Strata Platforms” (“us,” “our,” or “we”) to facilitate site selection, we know you’re trusting us with your data.  We also know we have a responsibility to respect your privacy, and we work hard to do just that.  This Privacy Notice explains what personal data we collect, why we use it, who we share it with, and how we protect it, along with the tools you can use to manage your privacy. We periodically revise this Notice to reflect new and evolving laws that govern privacy.

Global Location Technologies offers a range of services that focus on all stages of your site selection journey.  We know that everyone’s journey is different, and that deciding on the right place to locate is a custom experience.  By providing a wealth of information about locations, sites, and buildings, we use the information provided to us to provide our services and help users find their next location.  We carefully evaluate how we use data to make sure that we’re using information to provide value.

This Privacy Notice describes the website at https://locationone.com (the “Site”), our software application (“LOIS”, “Platform”), and our other digital services that post this Notice (collectively our “Services”). The Platform is an online tool designed to promote available site and building inventory.

This Notice does not apply to third-party services or platforms, including those that may be linked from our Platform. You should contact third parties directly to learn how they may use your information. (E.g., if you interact with others on our platform to post or search commercial properties, you should contact them to understand their information practices.)

1. Information We Collect

 Information you provide. If you are a user of our Platform, we may collect information such as your name, email address, phone number, your role within your company or organization, details about your company or organization, and account credentials, including username and password. We may collect and respond to communications from you. We may collect and access the content you provide to submit entries into the Platform.

Information from other users on our Platform. If you are a user on our Platform, we may collect information about you from other users, including interactions with others on our Platform. This could include information exchanged via communication functions provided in the Platform.

Information we collect through automatic data collection technologies. We may collect data regarding your use of our Site and Platform. This data may include your IP address, date and time you access our Platform and the pages and content you access during your visit, websites that you link to or from, whether you receive or open an email or other communication from us, and the links you click on within those emails. We may also collect information from your mobile device or your computer about how you interact with our Site and Platform, including the date of the visit, the time of arrival and length of visit to the Site or Platform, the type of device used and the operating system on that device, browser type, a list of files downloaded or pages viewed, your IP address, and any errors encountered. This information helps us address customer support issues, provide you with a personalized experience, prevent fraudulent use of our services, and manage the Services we provide you, including gathering aggregated data about engagement.

We may obtain your location data, including permitting your device to send us your specific location or otherwise allowing us to geolocate you. You can choose whether or not to allow the Platform to collect and use real-time information about your device's location through your device's privacy settings.

Information we collect from third party sources. We may collect information from affiliates, partners, and application providers. These and other third parties provide us information in connection with content, widgets, components, or other tools we offer. We may use this information to provide you with targeted content and for other purposes (such as to better understand our Service’s audience).

  • To provide our Site and Platform and its contents to you. For example, you may be able to post and search available properties.
  • To set up your account and to permit you to participate in interactive features on our Platform

Parties You Choose to Share Information With. If you are a user, when you use our Platform or other services, your profile may be publicly accessible by others searching for sites and buildings. If you communicate with others via our Platform, that information may be available to us or others.

Affiliated Companies.  We may share some or all of your information with our parent companies, subsidiaries, joint ventures, or other companies under common control with us.

Third Party Sharing. We work with third party parties to help us provide our Site and Platform and to support internal operations. They may use your information subject to their own privacy policies and to comply with their own legal and regulatory obligations. We work with different types of third parties, presently including:

  • Data hosting service providers;
  • Security service providers;
  • Analytics service providers; and
  • Marketing service providers.

Professional Advisors, Law Enforcement and Regulators. We share your information with our professional advisors who provide legal, compliance, auditing, accounting, banking, consulting, or similar services, and, when required, with regulators, law enforcement, or government agencies to:

In addition to the above disclosures, we may disclose personal information in the event that we believe such disclosure is (i) necessary to provide our services or operate our business; (ii) in accordance with purposes we describe when you share it with us; (iii) permitted by law; or (iv) with your consent or at your direction.

 5. What Choices Do I Have?

 Update personal information. If you have an account on our Platform, you can update certain information that you have provided by logging in or contacting your LOIS Administrator. As permitted by law, we may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement, cause the information to be incorrect, or prevent the provision of our Services.

Marketing communications. You may receive marketing communications. You may opt out of receiving marketing emails by following the unsubscribe link in each email.  Please note that you may continue to receive non-marketing emails from us after you opt-out. Please note that we do not control communications from others, including those you may choose to interact with via our Platform. You should contact them to understand your communication choices.

Tracking Technologies. We do not respond to Do-Not-Track signals at this time. You can set your browser to refuse all or some browser cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent. If you disable or refuse cookies, please note that some parts of the Website may then be inaccessible or not function properly.

Google Analytics collects personal information through the Website, including through the use of cookies.
